It took sooo long to get the building.  We had a horrible delay with finding insurance, and although we paid rent for July we are just now able to "officially" begin painting and getting things in order.  We are hoping to get everything ready so we can begin prayer nights in August, but we will keep the website updated as far as the exact opening date.  The prayer room is huge in this building, almost 2000 square feet!  We have a small bathroom, and it's in good shape.  We have a pool table set up and we will have a nice area to lounge and drink coffee.  It's going to be a great place to soak in the Lord's presence and hang out.  We are making HUGE floor pillows to place in the "soaking" corner, so we really expect this place to be different from any other ministry you've seen before.  The same Spirit, just a new approach.  The location of the building is perfect and we know God has placed us there for a reason.  We are looking forward to a new beginning and we hope to open very, very soon!

Well, the Word says to be ready in and out of season...and unexpectedly we had to move out of our building over the past weekend.  We had some problems with the landlord, and we felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit telling us to leave quickly.  We were on a month-to-month basis for rent, so we were able to get out before paying rent for June.  The same day we moved all of our things out, we were led to our new location...and we met a nice lady who was in the process of moving out of her space.  We were able to get the owner's phone number, and will be locking in with a 1 year lease this week, paying the same amount of rent as we did at the previous building!!  Wow, God is good!  We do need to paint in our new building, but we should be able to open by the end of June and will keep our website updated regularly to let everyone know when we are open.  The space we have now is actually bigger, the ceilings are taller, and it's a GREAT area for evangelism and ministry.  We are VERY excited!  We still plan to do the worship gathering, but we may possibly have to change the date.  More details to come on that very soon...

We will be having a 24-hr Worship Gathering on July 9th beginning at 7 p.m. and ending on the 10th at 7 p.m.  We are currently asking for worship leaders to fill a 1-2 hour time slot and the only requirement is that it be live worship (not cd's) done by those who have accepted Jesus as Lord!  We want this to be a time where the city can come together in unity to worship the King!  We will have coffee going all night and we will have some floor pillows spread out for those who want to come and just soak in the presence of the Lord.  We are excited and we will be mailing letters to area churches soon.  Please spread the word and if you know of anyone interested in helping with worship, have them contact us at zionsgateprayer@gmail.com or call 262-4236.  Keep us in prayer as we plan for this event.  We hope to see many different churches come together, it will be an awesome night in the glory of God!

The past few weeks have been good - we've been spending more time in prayer and like always, each meeting ends up way different than the last!  We are thankful for the faithful men and women of God who have been called to this ministry, and we are excited to have like-minded people showing up each week.  We now have a sign hanging up on the building, and we have business cards near the entrance.  We hope to spread the word and bring in the lost.  The Holy Spirit always ministers to those in need, and we enjoy the times of prayer when we can allow Him to do as He pleases.  We're learning to listen more and be slow to speak.  It's not about us, it's all about Him and we pray that His will be done!

 The month of May is starting off great!  A few key verses we have mentioned in the past few meetings:

As you go, preach this message: "The kingdom of heaven is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give." Matthew 10:7-8.

With flattery he will corrupt those who abandon the promise. But the people who know their God will be strong and take action. Daniel 11:32

We are declaring that it is a time for great exploits, for mighty acts of God to be displayed!  We must watch, pray, look and wait.  A prophetic word was given this past Saturday night, the Lord spoke through David saying : "My love is what is going to carry you through the next season.  Not a preacher or a church, but my love." 

Saturday was a time of intimate worship with the Lord.  One woman gave her life to Jesus that night, praise God!!  We postured ourselves before the Lord and allowed the Holy Spirit to move upon our hearts.  He is training us to sit in His presence and to listen to Him..to escape the distractions and make Him our focus.  As sons and daughters of God we must be led by the Holy Spirit!  Thankfully, He is always there to help teach us!  It's amazing how He shows us new things each time we meet!

First off, we want to apologize for not updating the site this past month.  Things have been busy and we have been experiencing warfare in a lot of different areas.  But, we are pressing on, and no weapon formed against us will prosper!  Our God is with us!

During our last prayer meeting in the month of March, we experienced breakthrough that was at a higher level than we had ever been to since we first opened in Feb...and as a result, we have begun to see the attack from the enemy during the month of April.  We now know to pray against retaliation from the enemy before departing from our prayer meetings.  Of the 5-6 in attendance on that Saturday night, 2 of us totaled our vehicles in the same manner.  Coincidence?  We think not.   We can't forget to plead the precious blood of Jesus over ourselves, our families and friends...our ministries.  Let us continue to stand strong and put on our armor daily!

We've also received note that others in the ministry in our city have been under an attack, and we are praying for protection for the saints of God in this city.  We know that God has only good things in store for us, and we are very excited for what's to come.  We want to encourage you to keep pressing on, and join us for prayer.  God is doing something in this city, and we can't back down.  Let the army of God arise! 

We had a great time praising the Lord Saturday night, as we sang "Hallelujah" and gave Him all the glory!  Praise broke out and the atmosphere changed!!  We know that God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3)!  Not only did we feel heaven coming to earth, but we also saw it on camera!  The angelic activity cannot be denied.  It is real, and it's biblical.  Angels are still among us!  Psalm 91:11 says that God has put His angels in charge of us, they watch over us wherever we go!  We don't worship angels, but we do recognize that we are partnered with them in the Kingdom.  We are able to see things in the Spirit that cannot be understood by those who do not have the Spirit of God, but let us not be ashamed to proclaim the truth in love!  It's real, and it's exciting!  Our God is full of wonders, and we are blessed that He draws near to us as we draw near to Him! 

As we came before the throne of the Most High God Saturday night, we experienced the joy of His presence..and oh, His love is so good! We thanked Him for His good love!  We need to thank Him often, He is a good Father!!  

 The flow of the Spirit is amazing, and we let Him lead us in the direction he has for us each time we meet.  It's never the same!  We experience something new each time. The Lord has been sharing with us how we need to take our hands off of the ark, and he's sharing with us His desire that He would be the one to lead and get the glory.  It's not about a move of man, it's about a move of God.  His name is above every other name!

 The Lord has shown us that if we are not making mistakes, then we are probably not moving.  It's time that we step out of the boat and move into the Holy Ghost, without being afraid that we will make a mistake.  Let's keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith!

God is beginning to open our eyes to the spiritual realm, just as he did with Elijah when Elijah prayed for the young man's eyes to be opened.  When his eyes were opened, he saw the great army of the Lord, the horses and chariots of fire.  He saw that there were more for him than against him. 

THE BATTLE IS IN THE AIR.  During prayer we saw principalities falling from the sky, and we began to plunder the spoil.  We are taking back what the devil stole.  This means our city, our families, our friends, our finances, the anointing and power of God...  We are picking up the anointings that have been dropped.  The revivalists from the past began the work and we are declaring that it will be brought to completion.  God's word does not return void, the anointings are still there!

We are really beginning to experience breakthrough during our prayer meetings!  We entered into a different level of warfare on Saturday, where we are becoming more aware of our authority.  We prayed for the harvesters to be released, we prayed for salvation, and also for ministering angels to be released to gather the worshippers.  We feel the breakthrough in the spirit!  The light is beginning to shine through the darkness, and we are declaring that the light is coming into this city.  Those clouds of darkness are being removed, the light outshines the darkness!  The clouds of glory are moving in and dispelling all darkness, we believe it!  We also declared God's promise of training a child in the way they should go, for they shall return.  Those seeds of faith that have been planted into the hearts of many shall begin to bear fruit!  This is an exciting time to be in the army of God!!

God has been moving mightily in Haiti recently!  Over 40,000 Haitians have professed faith in Jesus Christ since the earthquake, and pastor Louis LaBranche (CMBH director of ministry) had a vision of God telling him that 1.5 million Haitians would be saved in the next five years.  The Haitian government called for 3 days of prayer and fasting on Feb 12-14, and during that time many conversions took place.  People were in the streets begging for God to forgive them and show mercy.  This is such a powerful move of God and so needed!  We need to pray that this would spread to other nations!  The harvest is ripe!  Check out the news article at www.breakingchristiannews.com/articles/display_art.html?ID=7631.    There is a box at the top of the page where you can subscribe to a few newsletters that we would definitely recommend - The Elijah List (prophetic newsletters) and BCN (Christian news headlines).  Both are very reliable resources!
